The Commons Pool has been operating on a budget based off a levy passed over thirty years ago. Hard work by an excellent staff and a long list of volunteers has helped keep the pool operating. We only fix the most necessary items to keep the pool open. One unexpected repair could have ended swimming seasons.
Despite operating as lean as possible, we would not have had the funds to open the Commons Pool and Park for the 2018 season without passing a replacement levy. Thanks to the great people of in our community, the levy passed and we are able to remain open!
Over the years the Commons Pool has provided a place for hundreds of local teens to get their first job experience. There have been teen nights, movie nights, family nights, and many birthday parties at the pool. Many local youth have played baseball and softball on the field. We are so proud to be able to continue this tradition in the community. Thank you for helping to #savecommonspool.
